I think if we were to be properly welcomed to page 3 we might have to move the page to watershed.

On the upside this page loads a lot quicker than page 2!

Try as you might you can never get kittens dry by wringing alone.

Especially since the trauma oft causes them to pee themselves

Personally I'm more a fan of the hair dryer option - all the joy of watching them tumble around, but it just adds that extra bit of fluff that makes a kitten so much fun to be with...

tough call... I'm tempted by the humble centipede, because they're often overlooked, and they're all wiggly and stuff - but it's possible I might have to resort to cliche and go with a spider... I don't know, there are just so many options!

Although the spider has a down vote due to me walking trhough so many cobwebs on my way to the train station in the morning...

Millipedes rule!!!

How about favourite bread accompaniment? Got inspired at the weekend whilst sharing a bread board with Malcolm, Kelly and Mildred which encompassed brie, port salut, cheddar, goats cheese, parma ham (for me, not the veggies), tomato cous cous, hoummas (x2), mushroom and courgette thingies, sun dried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil...

There's always been this question over marmite, that I think deserves to be cleared up:

MARMITE IS DISGUSTING!

DISGUSTING I TELL'S YA!

I mean how can you like that stuff? It's brown, a bit runny, horribly flavoured and has no real relation to any othe food group! In fact if it closely resembles anything it's... not something you'd normally eat. Even on bread. And you'd probably need to see a doctor too...

Yes...

For any non-vegetarians who like Marmite on toast, I'd suggest trying Bovril in a similar capacity. Mmmmmm....

Current favourite bread accompaniment: Peshwari Nan

Good grief! How?

And on a related note - Marmite is made in Burton-on-Trent. The same place where an amazing proportion of the country's beer is brewed. (And, of the beer that isn't brewed there, a lot of it uses water shipped in from Burton-on-Trent, or altered to more closeley resemble Burton-on-Trent water, in a process called Burtonisation.) Anyway, beer brewing is a process that involves lots of yeast, and Marmite is almost pure yeast extract. Clearly, then, it originated as a waste product of the brewing industry.

But that doesn't stop me liking it.

i can't seem to quote anyone - my avatar fills up the screen whenever i try

anyway, amanshu - ryuhei kitamura is a japanese director who makes films that are thoroughly bonkers. a bit like takashi miike but with more swords and demons and stuff. i thoroughly recommend Versus which is a movie about 2 escaped convicts who meet a bunch of gangsters in a haunted forest. anyone who dies in the forest comes back as a zombie, theres an immortal vampire type, samurai are involved at some point, and theres a kind of Groundhog Day feel to the plot.

its a must for a friday night in with beer and friends.

and thus the sandwhich was born...

It's not that dramatic apparently they extract the starch from spuds for use in washing powder and the crap thats left gets made into Pringles.

The what now?

And pringles - yeah but they be one motherfreakin tasty by-product. And i don't think Marmite being made from beer is any reason to fault it. In fact I think we need to celebrate its illustrious origins

I think we should do this by making pringles, marmite and beer the Official Food Stuffs of the Daddy Forum Meet.

What? No Gin

I must of course protest extremely against the idea of Marmite becoming the official food stuff of the forums. That would just be so wrong it would hurt... Much like this:

I prefer bovril to marmite too (bovril on toast - true comfort food of childhood) but I can go with the flow. As for Pringles... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................................................................

I can eat whole tubes of the salt and vinegar ones, but it does damage to my tongue.

I think, and I might be mistaken, but I really do think, that this will be the start of page four! Welcome, welcome to page four. Enjoy yourselves, but use it wisely because when it's gone it won't come back.
