WINNER OF THE AWARD FOR BEST MINI-REVIEW
AT THEDADDY.ORG FORUM MEET 2005
An excellent mystery/drama series, broadcast (at the time of writing) on Tuesday evenings in the US, and downloaded on Wednesday mornings in our house. This review has been written just in case it's ever broadcast in the UK, because I urge you to see it if at all possible.
To summarise (and this isn't a spoiler): a plane takes off from Australia and crashes on an unidentified island, leaving some of its passengers dead and the rest of them to set about trying to survive on the island and attract help. As the series progresses, we discover snippets of the various passengers' histories, suspicions are rife, and stranger and stranger things happen on the island. Unusual about the series is that there are so many main characters - about 10 or 15 off the top of my head - and they're all intriguing. The plot never stops developing and never stops surprising us - excellent, gripping stuff. (and produced by David Fury, of Buffy & Angel, which is why we started watching it in the first place...!)
[edit: Stop press - Lost is to be broadcast on Channel 4 (UK) at some point in 2005! Absolutely, do not miss it!]
